How Do You Find Current USDA Eligible Areas?

It is a key part of the USDA eligibility process to find a home located in a USDA eligible area.  In today’s video, I’ll show you how to find USDA eligible areas.

USDA Eligible AreasWhy Search for Eligibility?

I realize there are certain counties that are completely eligible for the USDA program, but because of eligibility changes it is best to know how to search for a USDA eligible home.

Plus, you don’t want to get caught assuming a property is eligible when it’s not. For example, when you search the city of Land O Lakes, Florida you can see that it is located in an eligible area. However, if you go slightly to the east, it becomes ineligible very quickly.

When looking at properties that are close to ineligible areas, having this eligibility map at your disposal is critical for success!

How to Search for USDA Eligible Areas?

You can search for eligibility using these 4 easy steps.

  1. Access the USDA Property Eligibility page directly in our top menu labeled “USDA Eligible Properties Search” or by clicking here.
  2. Click on “Single Family Housing Guaranteed” in the left hand corner.
  3. Click the “Accept” button in the lower right hand corner.search for current USDA eligible areas
  4. Enter the property address you are searching for and click the “go” button to the right.

After Finding an Eligible Property

So the property is eligible for the USDA program, then let’s get you qualified!
